A feeding system selects, guides and positions the parts to facilitate and enable their subsequent handling and assembly. The vibratory systems or feeding systems receive the parts in bulk, place them in the required position and supply them to the following stage of the production process at the speed and necessary rate for optimal functioning of the process.

The parts of a feeding system

Dynamic feeding contemplates all the requirements derived from handling the parts from their bulk reception to their positioned delivery, one after another, to their automatic processing.

This process is the result of combining several specific techniques:
1) The driving force which is the basis of the equipment used, for providing the parts with an advancing direction.
2) The selection-positioning-rejection of the parts along their advancing path, with a view to ensuring a final flow of these, always delivered in the same position.
3) That inherent to transporting the parts, i.e. the configuration and handling of the sliding surfaces along which the parts must advance, based on their geometry, their asepsis requirements, etc., and their subsequent image features.
4) That of the interrelationship of complementary equipment to obtain autonomous systems for automatic feeding to machines or process lines, which basically consist of a Selection Unit, Autonomy Unit and a Transfer buffer Unit.

A feeding system is the interrelationship of two or more functional units that configure a homogeneous whole susceptible to accepting all physical and sequential resources available. Selecting, guiding and positioning the parts to enable their subsequent handling and assembly. The vibratory bowl feeder receives the parts in bulk from a tank or container (autonomy unit), places them in the required position and supplies them to a transfer buffer unit until reaching the handling unit of a machine.

Automated Feeding Sytstems | The decision to automate

There are two types of feeding systems to be defined:

The basic system consisting of a positioning unit (vibratory bowl feeder) and transfer buffer unit (linear vibrator) assembled on a support plate or table. This is an ideal feeding system for implementation purposes (linking function), and it allows to average statistical variations of flow rates (buffer function).
The basic systems also allow to introduce additional controls to avoid excessive pressures, reduce noise, wear of the equipment, inappropriate handling of the parts, micro-stops of the machine, etc.
The complete system consists of three units: autonomy unit, positioning unit and the transfer buffer unit interrelated on a support plate or table. With the different combinations, this is the ideal formula to respond to all kinds of demands.

The TAD feeding systems are at the market forefront in terms of selection, guiding and positioning of parts, providing the highest levels of quality and reliability to all sectors (pharmaceutical and healthcare, cosmetics, electronics, automotive, locksmith, toys, food and beverages) and industrial vibratory processes (machining, assembly of sets, positioning of parts in plastic injection, welding, packaging, trimming, printing, machining, riveting).
